hadit-board pres needs to step down

I have had it. The EGCSD BOE really has no clue as to what it's taxpayers or the EGCSD want, expect or need. They truly are working on their own agenda. How arrogant!! They not only wasted our money hiring a search committee, they also ignored the Hiring Committee's (of employees and taxpayers) preference of Superintendent. Then to top it off, they posted announcements in the Advertiser and TU that it was through the decision of the Hiring Committee and an unanimous BOE vote that they chose Dr. Furlong. NO ONE, I repeat NO ONE wanted someone who was ousted by her past district. This is also something the BOE was made aware of and decided to ignore too. Now we have to hire another superintendent. I don't think our BOE should be involved in this. They have obviously demonstrated they are incapable of making critical decisions. The next candidate should be bought to the taxpayers for a vote. Let us decide who we want.
